From Eileen Rosenbaum

WALGREEN'S

Mark and I were at the drive up window at Walgreen's today, and we both saw something that disturbed us.

The pharmacy technician, who was counting out pills and putting them into pill containers, was scratching her head and playing with her hair, then touching the pills. We were at the window long enough to see her use the phone, then go back to counting pills, then touch her face, then go back to the pills. We saw her put together 3 orders while we watched.

I called Walgreen's corporate offices to file a complaint. I did tell them how unsanitary their practice is. I also recommended that their personnel, who touch the medications, wear hair nets and gloves.

If the people at deli counters need to cover their hair and their hands when they serve us, why shouldn't people who handle our prescriptions.

From now on I will watch our prescriptions being filled.
